Community involvement
For some years now, Giovanni and Mariangela have been making a modest contribution to support The Goedgedacht Trust.
The Goedgedacht Trust was established in 1993 around the donation of a farm called Goedgedacht, which is located on the slopes of the Kasteelberg just outside Riebeeck Kasteel, some 85km north of Cape Town.
The Trust is run by a Board of Trustees and supports a number of initiatives, principally the Path out of Poverty (POP) program, which seeks to transform rural communities, by offering the most recent generation of children the opportunity to become healthy, self- confident, educated young people who are then able to take up leadership roles in their own communities. The POP centres focus on Education, Health, Personal Development and Care for the Planet.
WPS has recently adopted this initiative as a means of involving our team in a regional initiative which seeks to uplift previously disadvantaged communities and allows all our staff to make a difference to nation building.

Why Are More People Building ‘Career Insurance’?
For a long time, a second income was a nice-to-have: a “side hustle” that brought in some extra spending money, or was a way to express your interests and creativity outside of work. But it is increasingly becoming something entirely different: ‘career insurance’.
